I have a bad case of the wanderlust right now. Unfortunately, no trips are planned in the near future, and probably won’t be for a while. Meanwhile, I’ll just have to daydream about all the places I want to go. It’s quite a few. Here’s five of them (not necessarily in this order):
1. New York
I have to admit that this is one heavily fueled by the fact that some of my favorite TV-shows are set in NYC. In my mind, there is just something romantic about the city. I can’t really explain it, I just imagine I would love it so much. Not to mention all the shopping opportunities… On our last trip to Vegas, we had a layover at Newark, and seeing Manhattan from the sky (unintended Kate Voegele reference) right before landing was amazing, and absolutely made me want to go even more.
Two years ago, hubby and I packed our bags and went to live in Washington state for four months, as I was taking a semester abroad there. It was a good time. I miss it a lot, and really want to go back ASAP. See friends, visit places where we spent a lot of time, and do fun things. Also, we didn’t get to explore Seattle as much as I would like, so I feel like I have some unfinished business to take care of.
Mainly because I want to go to Disney World and Universal. But I wouldn’t be totally against spending some lazy days on great beaches either. Also, I’ve wanted to go ever since I was a kid, so it has got to happen sometime soon.
4. Los Angeles
For many years, I have been a huge fan of 80’s glam metal. I really want to see the places where some of my favorite bands started out back in the day. Where a lot of greatness happened. And of course, there’s beaches, great people-watching opportunities and lots of TV and movie related stuff.
5. Dublin, Ireland
Another place I’ve wanted to go for years, and actually for no specific reason other than that I’ve heard people say it’s great. I really imagine it is, so why not?
If you could go anywhere right now, where would you go?
